Today, Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23), Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Conference, released the following statement in remembrance of the Honorable Lincoln Diaz-Balart.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Congressional Hispanic Conference (CHC) elected Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) to serve as the organization’s Chairman for the 119th Congress. The CHC, founded in 2003 by Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26), seeks to emphasize both domestic and foreign policy issues that have a significant impact on the Hispanic community in the United States. In addition, the Conference represents the diversity of thought that exists in the Hispanic community.
