Congressman Canseco announces Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23) seeks entries for the 2011 Congressional Art Competition:
“The Congressional Art Competition is a very unique opportunity for talented high school students to submit their original artwork. One lucky winner will have their work displayed in our Nation’s Capitol to be seen by thousands of people. I look forward to choosing the next great artist from the 23rd District of Texas, and showing the rest of the country the creative spirit of Texas.”
The Congressional Art Competition is open to high school students who reside in the 23rd District or who attend a school district that is in the 23rd District. The winning entry will be displayed in Washington D.C. for one year.
The deadline to submit entries is May 1, 2011. Local high schools have been provided information regarding the competition.
