Congressman Canseco to Address National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials
Saturday, June 25th 2011

Washington D.C. –Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23), the son of Mexican immigrants, will be addressing Latino elected officials from Texas and all over the nation, as well as representatives from the business, labor, and non-profit sectors. He will speak on his vision of America and what it means to be a Latino elected official in the United States House of Representatives.

“America is the land of opportunity, where no matter your circumstance today, with dedication and hard work we can create a better future for our children,” Canseco said. “Immigrants come to this country to work hard and in hopes of realizing the American Dream.  Let's believe in ourselves and our fellow Latino Americans that we have it in ourselves to succeed.  I am an example of our drive to succeed, as in one generation this son of Mexican immigrants from Monterrey was elected to the United States House of Representatives,” Canseco concluded.
