Canseco to Visit Sutton and Crockett Counties

San Antonio, TX – On Friday, Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23), an advocate in the U.S. House of Representatives for fiscal responsibility and increasing the production of American energy, will be visiting Sonora and Ozona.

In Sonora, Congressman Canseco will visit the local operation of HighMount E&P, an energy company working to produce more American energy in Sutton County. At HighMount, Congressman Canseco will meet with HighMount personnel and tour the operation. “Increasing the production of American energy is critical if we want to get our economy moving and creating jobs. Not only will greater energy production here at home help lower energy prices and help reduce our dependence on foreign sources of energy, but it will also create badly needed jobs,” said Congressman Canseco.

In Ozona, Congressman Canseco will be meeting with elected officials in Crockett County. “Local elected officials here in Crockett County see firsthand everyday how policies created in Washington, like the government take-over of health care and out-of-control spending, are affecting the ability of local businesses to create jobs. I want to hear firsthand what they believe needs to be done to create an environment where jobs can be created,” Canseco concluded.
