Canseco hosts “Congress on Your Corner” in Rocksprings

San Antonio, TX – Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23), an advocate in the U.S. House of Representatives for fiscal responsibility, traveled to Rocksprings last Sunday to hold a “Congress on Your Corner” event:

“This past weekend, I had the opportunity to hear firsthand from the residents of Rocksprings about the issues that are directly affecting them and how policies created in Washington, like the government take-over of health care and out-of-control spending, are affecting the ability of local businesses to create jobs. It gave me a chance to listen to the concerns of my constituents directly, and to ensure that I remain accountable as I represent them in Congress,” said Congressman Canseco.

“The message I got from my constituents in Rocksprings is that Washington needs to get its spending under control and learn to do more with less, just like American families are doing during these tough economic times. They believe it should be the federal budget, not the family budget, that is shrinking,” concluded Congressman Canseco.

“Congress on Your Corner” is an event that gives constituents of the 23rd District of Texas to speak directly to Congressman Canseco about the issues that are important to them. To see photos of this event, click here or see attached.
