Canseco Appointed to the Mexico- United States Interparliamentary Group

Washington D.C. – Congressman Francisco “Quico” Canseco (TX-23) was recently appointed by Speaker John Boehner to serve as a member of the Mexico-United States Interparliamentary Group, which seeks to advance a closer working relationship between the U.S. and Mexico on several key issues.

“Mexico is not only our neighbor to the south, but also an important ally and trading partner. As the son of Mexican immigrants and the representative of a congressional district that has almost 800 miles of border with Mexico, I am honored Speaker Boehner appointed me to serve as a member of Mexico- United States Interparliamentary Group and I look forward to working to strengthen the working relationship between our two countries,” said Congressman Canseco.

The 50th Mexico-United States Interparliamentary Group is meeting in Washington, DC on June 14-15.
